The VANTA network using the intelligent peer system and KANUS Chain applies Proof of Network (PoN), including a self-developed smart button system that works with Verifiable Random Function (VRF) and Tolerance Practical errors (PBFT) algorithms to help ensure scalability and reliability of decentralized infrastructure.
Evidence of Networks sees nodes earn block rewards based on their contribution to networks and computer resources such as CPU, memory and bandwidth. In contrast to other BFT-based algorithms that require all received nodes and verify proposed blocks to reach consensus. The KANUS string selects a few nodes based on VRF's reliable random function and they participate in suggestions, verifications and block validation. The combination of Proof of Network (PoN), Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT) and Random Verification Function (VRF) creates a unique consensus algorithm called PoN-VPBFT. Furthermore, the verification buttons act as job verifiers for real-time network processing and can participate by betting some VNTs, so low-end smartphones or computers work. Low productivity or battery related problems can easily contribute as a verification button.
